At the Station Hotel, Swinton, twelve dwelling-houses in Charles Street, Swinton, belonging to the estate of the late Mr. Benjamin Clegg, were sold by auction.
Four houses with a gross rental of £5O 5s. 4d. were sold to Mr. Abraham Thompson, Swinton, for £590; and the other two lots, each with a rental of £53 65., were bought by Mr. T. B. Ellison. Swinton, and Mr. Edward Fillingham. Bolton-on-Dearne, for £650 and £630 resrectively.
The auctioneers were Shearman and Johnston, and the solicitors J. W. and A. E. Hattersley, Mexbro’.
