Pte. George William Chapman, of 82, Queen Street, Swinton, who has served in the Home Guard since the days of the L.D.V., has been chosen to represent 400 men of B. Company of the 61st West Riding Home Guard at the final “Standing Down” Parade in Hyde Park, London, on Sunday, December 3rd.

He is employed at New Stubbin Colliery and is a member of Mexborough Salvation Army Band.
