Charles Heaton the Swinton lefthander, is having the best season of his long career in first-class club cricket.
In thirteen times at the crease he has scored 655 runs in Yorkshire Council matches alone. He has got 251 of these since Saturday morning, and on Tuesday for the first time retired unbeaten. His figures therefore are:-
