At the Montagu Hotel, Mexborough, Messrs. Shearman and Johnston sold twenty freehold dwelling-houses in Crossland Street, Swinton, part of the estate of the late Mrs. Mary Hattersley.

Eight were sold to Mr. S. C. Ward, Swinton, for £1,230; eight more to Mr. Sharpley Swinton, for £1,200; and the remaining four to Mr. Newton. Swinton, for £750.

Mr. J. E. Cliff, at the same auction, sold flee freehold dwelling-hoaxes in White Lee Road, Swinton,’ part of the estate of the late John Russell, to Mr. George Barber. Wall Road, Mexborough, for £970.
