Freak Potato

A photograph of a freak potato “lifted” last, Saturday by a Swinton allotment holder, Mr. A. Dale, of Station street, whose allotment is in the Swinton Recreation Ground.

The potato is an Arran chief and weighs 27 ounce. It is 8 inches long from “head” to “full.”

Note its “Ally Sloper” nose and its “Mr Punch” back.
