Four, She Takes the Offertory
A little girl—not yet four–is playing her part at Swinton Wesleyan Reform Church. Before she could walk, Sheila Reader would be carried around by her father when he made the morning collection at Sunday’s Bible Class meetings.
Now father sits back, and young Sheila—with due gravity —takes the collection an presents it at the pulpit. Here a small concession is made, the Preacher leaving the pulpit to meet Sheila half way on the steps.
Mr. C. Reader was a Proud man on Sunday when his daughter went forward to receive from Bible Class President, Arthur Woffinden, an Arthur Mees Bible, for Sheila has completed a year on her Sunday morning duty and members felt it was an appropriate way to recognise her services,
