Fitzwilliam School May Queen

Pretty Carol Johnson(11), of Rig Drive Swinton, been chosen has Fitzwilliam Junior School’s May Queen, and the  crowning ceremony will take place on July 18th in the nursery department playground.

Carol will be attended by seven attendants from each class in the school and other children will give a concert after the ceremony. It is the first of such events for four years.

The annual inter-house school sports will take place on the school field .on Wednesday, June 5th. Inter-house rounder matches have been postponed until after Whitsuntide because of examinations which are to take place next week.
