February 1967

South Yorkshire Times, February 11, 1967

Thirteen years old Gareth Davies, of “Cedarn” Highcliffe Drive, Swinton, wants to earn money towards the cost of an holiday in France and Germany with Swinton Comprehensive School, so he has decided to start his own “business” – taking dogs for walks when he gets home from school, and at week ends.

The charge – half a crown( 12.5p) an hour.

The Davies have a dog of their own (Honey) so Gareth is well used to dogs.

He has put an adverisement in the “Times.”
