At the recent Metropolitan examination held at the Royal Academy of Music, Mr Joseph E Beech Swinton, was successful in gaining the L.R.A.M. diploma (pianoforte teacher).

He was for several years a pupil of the late Mr Claude Crossley, A.R.A.M., of Sheffield and has for the past two years been a pupil of Mr Felix Swinstead, F.R.A.M.

Mr Beech is organist and choirmaster at the Swinton Wesleyan Church
