Death of Former Backer of Iron Hague.

Mr. Francis John Law, licensee of the Woodman Inn, Swinton, and formerly for many years licensee of the Montagu Arms Hotel, Mexborough, died on Saturday.

Some years ago he was very prominent in bringing to the front Iron Hague. Through the backing of Law, Iron Hague rapidly rose to championship class.

Mr. Law was interested in many of the Sports societies of the district. He was well known throughout South Yorkshire.
