This photograph of a children’s fancy dress party was taken at Piccadilly in 1937.

It has been kindly loaned to us by Mrs. Gwendoline Stanley, of 40, The Lea Swinton.

She Is Included In the group (second row, second from the left), and was dressed as “Miss Potato.” She tells us that some of the others are Patricia, Alice and Jean Hudson, Kathleen Ward, Sylvia Jones, Mabel Hall, Annice Doughtier, Raymond Haigh, George Gillett and Doris Jackson.

Mrs. Stanley recalls that the prize winners were Sylvia Jones (as “Miss 1937″), she herself (as “Miss Potato”) and Kathleen Ward (as “Little-Bo-Peep”).

Doubtless many of our readers will be interested in this glimpse of 22 years ago.
