Appointment

Mr GE Culpin eldest son of Mrs Culpin and the late Mr G Culpin of Rookery Road, Swinton has been appointed to a senior post in the West African Civil Service as accountant with the Gold Coast Government Railway.

During the war Mr Culp in served in the Royal Artillery for over six years and saw service in France, Belgium and Burma.

He returned to Swinton and was appointed assistant accountant to Swinton Urban Council with whom he was employed from 1935 1939.
