A Ferocious Dog at Swinton.
Thomas Hewson, of Wath, was charged with being the owner of a dangerous dog, and not having the same under proper control on the 5th of June.
It was stated that a little boy who lives near to Hewson came out of his house, and the animal bit him on the left side of the body.
Police-sergeant Woods said the dog was a ferocious one, and it had bitten several other people.
Hewson was ordered to destroy the dog, and pay the costs 3 s. 6d.
