Ivy Cobb (Lab)
7 Highfield Rd, a housewife who has served on the council three years and is present vice chairman of the housing committee. Mrs Cobb has been connected with the Scout movement for nearly 20 years and is district club master. She serves on the aged welfare committee youth Council and tribunal of national insurance, among others.
Jack Jagger (Ind Lab)
the hall, Fitzwilliam Street. Retired local government officer Who served on the Council for six years until losing his seat last Yeah. And previously for eight years until 1929 when he became a council employee. He was a former president of the British league, chairman of Swinton amateur sports committee. Has been connected with many local organisations.
