Medal and Prize
For Swinton Glass Technologist

At the recent Degree Congregation at Sheffield University, Mr. John Hardcastle Seago was awarded the Frank Wood Medal and Prize, this being awarded to the student who is deemed most successful in, the examination for the Degree of Technical Science in Glass Technology, which Mr. Seago holds with First Class Honours.

He is a former pupil of Barnsley Holgate Grammar School, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Seago of Swinton. His father is Joint Managing Director of Waterstone Glassware Ltd., and was formerly works manager serving under the late Mr. Frank Wood of Wood Brothers  Glass  Co., Ltd., of Barnsley—the donor of the awards.
