Signaller John Turner
We regret to report the death of signaller John Turner (York and Lancaster) of 21, Warren Vale Rd, Swinton, who enlisted in November 26, 1914, at the age of 23 years.
Signaller Turner was wounded by shrapnel two years ago. He was again wounded in action on August 27 and he died from his wounds on August 30.
His chaplain, writing to Mr Turner, said he was seriously wounded in the right thigh and right foot.
He is buried in the English cemetery at Dozinghem, Belgium.
