Warren Vale Road

A photograph taken from a little north of Rosehill Park, showing the nasty bend and gradient to the big dip in Warren Vale Road, which is to disappear when the joint scheme of the Rawmarsh and Swinton Urban councils, the West Riding County Council and the Roads Board has been carried out.

The road is to be reconstructed levelled and straightened from Kilnhurst Rd, Rawmarsh to the Chain Bar , Swinton and an important point about the work is that much of it will be done by unemployed persons in the Rawmarsh and Swinton districts.

The contract for this work has been given in to Lane Bros Mansfield, whose figures £68,000
