Swinton Coming Along

A rather better outlook begins to loom at Swinton – though there, still, the attack is not too good. During the holiday to matter were drawn and one narrowly one.

The batsmen are not doing great things but the side is stiffening in its work in the good old are is a success in the last two games of the later batsmen. One little feat of the other games was a batting of Pearson (picture), who shows potentialities as a coming all-rounder. His batting and bowling as Bentley and twos were full of promise. He still needs a lot of practice and study to make the most of his bowling speak, for he has not yet got commando length; and he needs to take his batting more seriously.

He is a naturally hitter, but not wild one. He has a keen eye for a dangerous ball and for the one he can get hold of. When he does get hold of one – which has been pretty often during the last two days – he drives with great power.

He surprised and delighted the Bolton crowd on Saturday with two glorious sixes. Your to be placed in reply yet in the batting list and encourage she was his powers wiser with the bat; they might have more Bowling success if you are kept for first change rather than put on to open with Stancey – unless he gets on some wickets which are made for him.
