Ssmallpox is, happily, abating in Swinton, and the last two weeks have brought only three cases, including the first from Piccadilly.
This hamlet is a healthy spot, but the sanitary arrangements, with the exception of the new houses, or as primitive as any in Swinton, so must be the pure air which makes for immunity.
