Hockey Honours

Miss F.E .Holland and Miss Wilde, both of the Swinton Ladies Hockey Club, distinguish themselves on Saturday, when they play for the second 11 of the Sheffield Association against a team representing the Liverpool league.

They form the right-wing and were in excellent form. Miss Holland (picture) scored Sheffield’s three goals.

Miss Holland lives at Piccadilly, and first played hockey at the Mexborough Secondary School, where she gained a place in the senior 11. Afterwards she was chosen in the first team at the Sheffield Training College, for whom she played at Blackpool last year.

Miss Holland is now on the staff at Kilnhurst Council School.
