Back in Swinton after three weeks with Carol Levi’s state shows is Miss Vivien Parnham, of 18, Warren Vale Road, Swinton, who successfully broadcast as a Carol Levis discovery last year.

She recently appeared, with other BBC discoveries, for a week at the Empire Theatre Edinburgh the number one Carol Levis show. The second week she has been at the hippodrome, Keighley, with the Carol Levis number two show, “stairway to stardom,” which is compared by Mr Cyril Levis, the radio star’s brother.

Last week she rejoined the number one show at Glasgow Empire for a week.

Miss Parnham did two shows a night, and sang the two show she broadcast “Villanelle” and Invitation to the Dance” – by special request.
