Wedding – Smith – Nelson.

Miss Amy Nelson, twin daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. H. Nelson, 55, Rowm’s Lane, Swinton, was married at the Parish Church on Monday, the Rev. W. J. Parker officiating, to Mr. Frederick Smith, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Smith, I Holyhead Farm, Conisborough.

Mr. Arthur Burden was best man and Mr. Ernest Goddard groomsman. Given away by her uncle, Mr. E. Dale, of Conisborough, the bride wore pink satin beaute, veil, wreath of orange blossom, pearls, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. She was attended by the Misses Dora and Mildred Nelson (sisters), in blue satin beaute with hats to tone and carrying pink roses.

A reception was held at Rowm’s Lane, Mrs. Nelson receiving the guests. Among the gifts was a dinner service from the Denaby and Cadeby Collieries where the bridegroom is employed.
