With Jungle Force

Pte. George Ager, K.O.Y.L.I., of 19. Slade Road, Swinton, has been with the Forces for three years and has been in India for over a year. He is 28.

Pte. Ager, who is married and has three children is the son of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. Ager, 91, Albert Road, Mexborough. Recently, his wife heard that he was with a jungle force.

Before joining the Forces he was employed by the L.N.E.R. at Mexborough and, for a short time, was a part-time worker in the delivery department of the “South Yorkshire Times” Printing Co., Ltd. When at home he was a keen pigeon fancier and a member 9 of Mexborough Homing Society.

Mr. Arthur Ager, Pte. Ager’s brother, served in the last war and had also served in this until two years ago, when he was discharged after an accident in England.
