Driver George Lawson (20) son of Mr and Mrs J. W. Lawson, 20 William St, Swinton, is serving with the R.E.M.E. In North Africa.

An old boy of Swinton Bridge School, he was employed by the Meadow Dairy Company Ltd in Rotherham before joining up over two years ago.
