Swinton Brothers

A/c1 William Denton (19), fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Denton, Plant Row, White Lee Road, Swinton, has served ten months with the R.A.F. in this country.

He attended Swinton Bridge Street School and was employed as a machinist at Messrs. Baker and Bessemer, Kilnhurst.

A younger brother, also enjoying service life is Pte. Alfred Denton, (18), who before joining the Army three months ago was a member of the Army Cadet Force at Swinton.  He worked at Queen’s Foundry, Swinton.
