Missing.

Mrs. W. Taylor of Slade Road, Swinton has been notified that her husband. Sergt. navigator Wilfred Taylor (30), has been reported missing after he failed to return from operational duties over enemy territory recently. He was stationed in England.

After attending Bridge Street School. Sgt. Taylor became a part-time student at Sheffield University, where he studied industrial subjects including engineering.

He was well known in Swinton as a builder and contractor and prior to joining the R.A.F. about 21 years ago was a surveyor at Hereford. Sgt. Taylor had taken part in raids over Germany, Italy and the occupied countries.
