A party of fifth form  from Swinton Comprehensive School, led by Mr. Richard Oates, a member of the school’s geography department drove to the Yorkshire coast in their mini-bus last week-end to complete a fossil survey and study of the geology of the area around Robin Hood’s Bay.

Mr. Oates and his party of 13, some of whom are seen in this picture, spent three days making the survey, staying overnight at Boggle Hall Youth Hostel.
