Driver F.R. Kime, of Queen Street, Swinton left on Wednesday night to return to France after spending a ten days’ leave at home, and visiting his numerous friends.

Driver Kime, who is employed at Battalion headquarters’ workshops, has seen many well-known English actors and actresses while he has been there, when they visited the N.A.A.F.I. branch at head-quarters to entertain the troops.

These include Gracie Fields when she paid her recent visit to France, Leslie Henson and Ralph Reader and His Gang.

Driver Kime has, since he arrived with the first batch in France (after a rough crossing which made him seasick), toured France for hundreds of miles driving various vehicles.
